The Bakersfield Jam is tremendously excited to enter our first offseason since the completion of the new Jam Events Center. Having the building on our grounds gives the Jam the opportunity to utilize the best floor in the NBA D-League to host off-season activities that will give YOU – the Jam Fans – a chance to play ball on the same court where we play all of our home games. The summer kicks off with the Jam's After-School Basketball Clinics that will give young Bakersfield ballers a chance to learn from the Jam's coaching staff, followed by a Men's League complete with referees and updated statistics...

2010 After-School Basketball Clinics – Monday, April 19 - Thursday, June 3 Each after-school clinic day will feature two sessions: an instructional pick-up session from 4-5pm and a shooting skills session from 5-6pm. Instructional pick-up will feature Bakersfield Jam Head Coach Will Voigt and Assistant Coach (and six-year NBA veteran) Greg Minor watching participants in organized pick-up games and giving players feedback on how to improve their game, with special emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship. In the shooting skills session, the coaches will put players through some of the shooting drills that Jam players run during the season and teach form, technique, footwork and more. Each clinic day will serve a different group of kids: 5th-8th grade Boys on Monday; 5th-8th grade Girls on Tuesday; 9th-12th grade Boys on Wednesday; 9th-12th grade Girls on Thursday. 2010 Summer Men's League – Thursday, May 20 - Sunday, June 27 The Bakersfield Jam's 2010 Summer Men's League will be the inaugural recreational league at the Jam Events Center and will give participants the opportunity to live the on-court life of a Jam player. Each team will play ten regular season games on Monday and Thursday evenings, followed by a single-elimination Playoff Tournament that will include every squad. All games will be refereed, players will get to use the Event Center locker rooms, and statistics will be kept for all participants and updated weekly along with league standings. At the end of the season, awards will be given to the League Champions, and the league MVP will be given the opportunity to try out for the 2010-11 Bakersfield Jam.
